  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, sifted
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar, for rolling dough
  • 1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon coconut or vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, dark brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg, vanilla, and molasses; mix until well combined.
