  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and Italian seasoning. Make a well in the center.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil to the well; mix until combined and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place dough in an oiled bowl; cover and let rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Punch down the dough, shape into a rectangle, and sprinkle with mozzarella, Parmesan, and additional herbs.
  6. Roll up the dough and place it seam-side down; let rise again for 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
